At the request of the Columbia University organizers, Chargé d’affaires a.i. of the

Permanent Mission of the Republic of Serbia to the United Nations Saša Mart received a

group of students of seven different high schools from California, participating at the 24 th

prestigious Model United Nations Conference, held from 16 to 19 January 2025 at Columbia

University in New York. The delegates from all over the world take part in the Conference.

Chargé d’affaires a.i. Mart advised the students of Serbia’s foreign policy priorities,

Permanent Mission’s activities in New York and shared personal experiences from his own

diplomatic career. The students were also interested in the relationship between Serbia

and the United States and the role of the United Nations in the world.
